FOR DIAGNOSTIC MOCK-UPS

Please send the following:

  • Take a head-on portrait photo of the patient while they are smiling. If the lower lip covers the upper front teeth, kindly ask the patient to open their mouth slightly until the upper front teeth are visible. This is important to ensure we can see the existing incisal edge in relation to the rest of the face.

  • Upper jaw scan

  • Lower jaw scan

Please send the following:

  • A head-on portrait photo of the patient smiling. Please review the details mentioned in the mock-ups section.

  • Upper jaw scan

  • Lower jaw scan

  • Biocopy scan: If you take a portrait photo of preoperative teeth, place the preoperative scan in the biocopy folder. If you create an intraoral mock-up approved by the patient, based on the wax-up, take photos of the mock-up and scan it in the biocopy folder. Ensure photos and the biocopy scan correspond.

FOR IN-HOUSE MILLING

PREDICTABLE COSMETIC OUTCOMES

Design for Milling

A diagnostic mock-up is not mandatory before designing the final restorations. However, once you receive a mock-up, you have three options to reach the final restorations. The option that suits you best will depend on your proficiency and preferences.

1. Do It Youself

If you prefer to take a do-it-yourself approach, you can design the final restorations on your own by utilizing the open mesh STL file of the mock that we provide. However, if you are a CEREC user, you will need to scan the physical 3D-printed model located in the bio-copy folder in order to replicate the mock-up for the final restorations.

2. Send To Us

Once the mock-up has been approved, you can proceed with the final restorations by sending us the prep scans. You must include either a scan of the approved intraoral mock-up or a scan of the 3D-printed wax-up to ensure an accurate representation of the mock-up in the final restoration design. We will send either DXD or STL files for milling, depending on your CAD/CAM system.

3. Send To Lab

For each case, you will receive an open mesh STL file that the dental lab can use to create a final restoration that accurately matches the patient-approved mock-up.
